Tangible, not vague

Inside a Synrgy session

Every 60 minutes is structured. Here's what your child's hour actually looks like:

0–5

Recap & homework review

Quick check on last week's practice — what stuck, what didn't, and why.

5–25

Target topic, taught properly

The week's weak spot explained until it actually clicks — the why, not just the method.

25–45

Real exam questions, live

Applying it immediately on past-paper questions from their exact exam board, with mark-scheme feedback.

45–55

Stretch & consolidate

Pushing one level harder than the classroom does — this is where grades move.

55–60

Plan the week

Targeted practice set for the week, and a quick note to you on how it went.

Meet your tutors

They sat these exams. Recently. And aced them.

Not career tutors reciting from a textbook — students from top UK universities who remember exactly what it takes.

Your child's tutor isn't a stranger from a marketplace. It's one of us — matched to their subject, exam board, and personality.

Why Synrgy

Most tutoring doesn't work. Here's why ours does.

Typical tutoring

  • No structured improvement plan
  • No exam-technique focus
  • No measurable progress tracking
  • Parents left in the dark
  • Tutors who last sat an exam decades ago

The Synrgy way

  • Diagnostic starting assessment
  • Structured 12-week improvement roadmap
  • Weekly exam-focused sessions
  • Regular parent progress updates
  • Tutors who recently achieved top grades
The honest truth

The gap doesn't wait. It grows.

Maths and science build on themselves — every missed foundation makes the next topic harder. Here's what the timing actually means:

Start this summer

Ahead by September

Gaps closed while there's no new content landing. Your child walks into the new year confident — often ahead of the class for the first time.

Start in October

Catching up while moving forward

New topics are already stacking on top of the old gaps. Progress happens — but your child is fixing the past and learning the present at the same time.

Start after mocks

Pressure mode

Mock results are in, confidence has taken the hit, and now everything is urgent. It's fixable — we do it every year — but it's the hardest way round.

Wherever your child is on this timeline, the best time to start is now. The second best time is also now.

I started Synrgy because I remember what it felt like to sit in a maths class completely lost — and what changed when someone finally explained it in a way that made sense.

We're not a tutoring platform with ten thousand anonymous tutors. We're a small team from Bath and Imperial who sat these exact exams a few years ago, got the top grades, and genuinely enjoy getting students there too.

If you book a call, you'll speak to me — not a sales team. And if I don't think we're the right fit for your child, I'll tell you honestly and point you somewhere better.

FAQ

Questions parents ask us

Who teaches the lessons?
All sessions are taught by our core team — students at the University of Bath and Imperial College London who achieved A*s in the subjects they teach. Your child is matched with the right tutor for their subject and exam board, and stays with them.
What subjects do you cover?
Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at GCSE and A-Level, across all major exam boards (Edexcel, AQA, OCR and more).
How are lessons structured?
Every student starts with a diagnostic assessment. From there we build a structured plan: targeted lessons on weak topics, real exam questions every week, and homework that reinforces rather than overwhelms.
How do you track progress?
Measurable goals set from week one, with regular parent updates so you always know exactly how sessions are going and where your child is improving.
Is this suitable for anxious or struggling students?
Especially so. Because our tutors were in that exam seat just a few years ago, students find them far easier to open up to than a traditional tutor. Confidence-building is a core part of how we teach.
Are your tutors DBS checked?
Yes — all Synrgy tutors hold DBS checks. Your child's safety is non-negotiable, and we're happy to discuss this on your intro call.
What if my child doesn't click with their tutor?
Tell us and we'll switch them to another tutor — no awkwardness, no cost. The relationship matters as much as the teaching, and we'd rather fix the match than lose the progress.
How do online lessons actually work?
Live video call with a shared digital whiteboard — your child and their tutor work through problems together in real time, just like sitting side by side. All they need is a laptop or tablet. Most students find it more focused than in-person because there's nowhere for attention to drift.
How much does tutoring cost?
Sessions start from £40 per hour. Exact pricing depends on frequency and your child's needs — we'll give you a clear answer on your free intro call, with no obligation.
